Heres the Runlock installed in my Corsa that i put together last night

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvAAQP70fkQ

It's not wired in 100% yet to the brake pedal or handbrake, thats why i'm reaching down, to touch some wires together to turn off the runlock (kill the engine)

Tell me what you're thinking.

Am I the only person that would just use a spare key to lock it?

Why not? It's usefull for Shows (if you want to leave your stereo on)

Its usefull for those cold mornings, you can leave the car running to get it warm whilst you go have a lovely cup of tea

Why's that?

There will be no keys in the car. You can still lock it using your key in the door.

IF a theif got in, as soon as they put their foot on the brake or release the handbrake it will cut the engine anyway.

Yes but using your spare key isn't safe, All a theif would have to do is break a window and the car is theirs.

With Remote Start you have to bypass the Immobiliser anyway, meaning you would have to take the chip out of the key and tape it to the Immobiliser ring around the Ignition Barrel.

This Runlock system is approximately £90 elsewhere. I can do it for 1/3 of that if anyone is interested.

We install it in police cars, solely so our kit doesnt cut out in the case of the policeman having to jump out and chase someone, the generators keeps running.

To have it on your own car is very pointless and tbh man up in the cold weather !
