Well, after some waiting, I finally got round to Will94's house to fit the inlet manifold that he made up.

Work started at half 1 in the afternoon, and finally got everything bolted together about 8pm. After a small air leak which a bit of flange sealent sorted, we got the engine running beautifly.

and my god the results are amazing. Not only is the inlet itself superbly manufactured, and looks the nuts, the performance is exactly what you'd expect from an inlet like this. very responsive on the throttle, and after 4000rpm the fun begins

i'll be having plenty of fun with this. I hope to get it on the rollers at some point.....but how much power do people think i'll be running, bearing in mind this engine was totally standard before.

a big thanks to will94 for the efforts and the time he's put in.

Will is planning to sell these so please take a look at his thread in classifides http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=399810&pid=5895995#pid5895995

Looks quality that, where abouts did you get the induction pipe/hose for it from? I've heard you can use the pipe from a 1.7td cav?
