I had seen the first one but not really paid attention to it, more like it was on in the background. Don't need to see the first one

does it get better after 20 mins?
I've never liked Batman, or Batman and Robin. I always want the villans to win and Batman to lose.
Seeing Batman going kerpow bang wallop and just beating everyone up with ease is boring. Bit like Bond fims

i thought it was no where near as good as Batman Begins, fact that they changed the actor that plays Rachel from Katie Cruise to some bint fucked me off during the film.
Then again i thought wall-e was amazing for graphics but had a so so storyline

Out of interest? how many of you that like it, also like comics?
as I can't stand comics and don't understand why grown up adults still read them. So if you're in that category it may explain why you love all these remakes of batman / spiderman / hulk etc.

I enjoyed it but not as much as Batman Begins. Felt like it started to drag after about and a half but that was maybe down to the uncomfortable cinema seats

Thought it was really good, worth watching just for Heath Ledger. Doest really make any references to stuff that happened in Batman begins other than his mansion burnt down. If you want to ask all the questions like why is he Batman, wheres his money come from and what the fuck is that super bad ass car he drives then you might need to watch it

I have never been interested in batman or comics before tbh, watched some of the others but wasn't impressed. I'm notsure if my lack of interest in the past made a difference but I enjoyed all the action and the plots and clever sewing up of it all at the end, felt like it was really well directed.

Cracking film. Haven't seen the previous one myself. Much better than all that Tim Burton type twaddle from previous incarnations too.
Oh and I don't read comics.

Its a bit Highlander ish, you either see 1 & 2 on their own or you watch 1, 3 and 4 and miss out 2.
Same with Batman, you should take Begins and The Dark Knight as a new series and discard the other 4.
You don't need to have seen Batman Begins but it might give you a better understanding of who Bruce Wayne/Batman is.
