around my house has very limited parking..... literally enough off road parking for 1 car per house.
my neighbors son always parks infront of my drive, ive asked him politely to stop doing it as my drive is in use through most hours of the day.
i think his sons moved home now, and he leaves it parked there overnight.
which means i have had to walk to work for the last 2 days (due to not being able to park on the road).
can i legally take his wheels off his car and leave it on axle stands? ...even if i leave a note saying i have them?

If he's obstructing your drive, he's causing an offence. In that case, just tell his mom

Their landlord see's nothing wrong with obstructing your driveway which is in constant use? Involve the council mate

if the kurb is lowered and he is blocking access to your drive, ring the police they'll shift it for him

im not sure that a lowered kurb is enough. a woman on my mates street used to go mental for me parking over her drive which had a lwoered kurb and ring the police as i did it every day, my car was never moved. then she paid the council some obscene amount to have a white line paintd over the front of it which means i can defo be towed for parking there

If theres no lines or anything put a sign up on your property saying anything parking in front of your property will be clamped, state the release charge.
Clamp it then charge him.
Keep doing it till he gets the message

If you are stuck in your drive and cannot get onto the highway as this constitutes an offence, whereas blocking access into your drive does not, under the Road Traffic Act.

Buy some road spray paint (like they use to mark pot holes etc) and put your own white line in front of the drive.
There is a lay by out side our house, over the road, which has no parking restrictions. It can easily fit 8 average sized cars in it. However people used to park so arrogantly, essentially taking up 2 spaces, that dad cut a t-shape stencil and sprayed markings. Been fine ever since.
I did see a Highways vehicle down our road though, and they looked at it a bit strange

if you have a drop kerb in front of your driveway then you have right of way to your drive in the eyes of the law (although this is hardly seen as a big deal)
you have no right to park in front of your own house if there is no drop kerb.
if there's no drop kerb it's more of a courtesy thing, ask him to stop doing it - if it doesn't stop, park your car on the road across your drive so he can't (or put some cones across or something when you're not there)
sorry for the essay.

When you go home from Work park outside his driveway instead, leave it there, buy a megarider and get the bus to work for a week and see how he likes it not being able to access his drive for the week
