ive heard a rumour that Andy Speck is selling his 505bhp let engine any one else heard this

depends on the condition of engine? what ecu, what turbo?

I've spent just shy of 4k on my engine and I still need a mani, ecu, injectors etc.

Whets the point in starting again with a new engine when this one has proven to be successful...

Unless hes getting a newer engine such as the z's

Thats cool, but I'd be more bothered about the actual components used, who built the engine and what have you. I'm sure its a killer of an engine because how it performed at TOTB but handing over that sort of cash for an engine I would want to know everything I possibly could find out!!

I understand Willay.

Wouldn't want to shell out £5k for an "unknown" engine only for it to go bang the first time you go out for a test drive.....

Sometimes it IS worth paying it all out yourself so in your own mind you know how the engine has been built, ran in, set up etc....

Far cheaper to buy it this way, but more worries too. Set aside another £3k+ in case it goes pop....

Lot of money for an old engine now. But you are getting massive value for money.

Engine was built by Specky and mapped by Track & Road, twice.

Mapped once to 475bhp (or thereabouts)
A few weeks later specky found very small boost leak on one of the inlet pipes. Car went back down and another 30bhp and some more psi was found, lol

I keep looking for a full spec of Andy's motor but I can never find it, I didn't know if he was keeping it secret for competitive reasons?

Not really. It's lack of typing skills reasons - in the time it would take him to type the spec into a PC, he could have rebuilt a couple of XEs for his mates lol

TBH i think its a bargin. I would snap it up if i was in the market for a engine. I have creamed out miles more than that so really think its a good buy.
