read this on another forum, cant believe it. i lost my dad (natural causes) a few years back, dont know if i could handle this tho...
One of my best mates who iv known since primary school with.. has been put on suicide watch this weekend, has to have someone in the house watching him all the time, and its harsh as hell... its actually quite sad...
3 weeks ago, his dad hung himself because he was depressed, but no one knows why, because he has a successfull buisness, a 4 bedroom house in the newest part of town.. didnt really have anything to decide to kill himself for...
Worst part of it is, that he walked into his house, to find his dad hanging from the top of the stairs, just swinging in the hallway, enough to send anyone loopy if you ask me.
So as anyone would be, the lad was really upset, and was just starting to come to grips with it when i spoke to him in the middle of this week just gone, was starting to try and get back to his normal life.
Then, friday afternoon, he goes home, his mum, in the exact same place, hanging there with a noose around her neck. a note was left to him saying she couldnt take the loss of her husband or anything.
So he has found his mum and dad, both hanging dead infront of him when he has walked into the house.
I feel so bad for him, went to see him yesterday to see if i could comfort him abit, and he didnt even know what was going on, was like he didnt hear me talking, he didnt notice anything around him, nothing, was just oblivious to the world.
I think its pretty selfish what his mum has done to him like, losing your dad at 19 must be painful enough, but then losing your mum over that.. 3 weeks later, must be total hell.
I feel so bad for the guy
RIP to his dad, dont know if his mum deserves piece tbh

Thats terrible.
A similar thing happened to a close mate of mine.
Her dad was a mechanic and his garage blew up due to petrol fumes and a welder (so was pretty horrific), and my mate (the dads daughter) was first on the scene and saw her dad burn to death as he tried to escape.
Then a few weeks later, her mum hanged herself from the top of a doorway, and Emma found her. No note, nothing.
Emmas doing ok now but was pretty touch and go for a while. Luckily her boyfriend was a great help to her.
Nasty stuff.

If your going to do it, why do it somewhere that a loved one will have to walk in and find you?!
As said before... Selfish!
Go find some secluded place and leave a note at home. Rather that than finding my mum hanging from the rafters!

Fucking harsh
My cousin did the same thing, no note and no real reason to do it. Popular with friends, in Uni and doing well, no known debts and his dad found him. Selfish

i used to be in the army cadets and there was a girl that used to come that was in the same situation. it had happened when she was much younger and had been in (i don't know a better way of putting this) a special school pretty much ever since. when i met her she was nearly 18 and acted like a child of about 7 or 8, it was like she hadn't grown up since it had happened. pretty sad stuff

I would be in a mental home if that happenned to me, I have to say both the parents are very slefish, also as to the Dad, it generally doesnt matter if they have lots of material things etc, its just whats in their head.

That's really bad and feel it for the lad. We all have shitty times but we get through them.
In the past year i've lost my Nan, grandad and my Dad has cancer who hasn't much time left. I still can't let my Nan go as i we were so close towards the end. Visited everyday even though some nights she would just be asleep or sometimes not even know who i was.
Never seen my grandad much and so wasn't that close to him. My dad is my dad but we're not that close. Probably becasue we are so a like. If anything ever happens to my mum i don't know what i'll do. I'm so close to her it's unreal. If i ever need someone she's there, no questions asked. All the stufs that has happened over the past year has made me realise that we will not live forever so enjoy what you have got now!

My heart goes out to people like that. I lost my mum over five years ago due to natural causes, but I dont know how I would have coped if my dad had killed himself over it. I know my dad hasnt been the same since, but we've been eachothers rocks to help pull eachother through, and it hasnt really become any easier, its just something we've had to learn to deal with. This lad has got it really bad, and makes me feel extremely lucky to have what I have.

Truley devistating, i would break down if that ever happened to me. The mother IMO has been utterly selfish as yes losing her husband would be a tragic and awful thing to happen, but leaving her/their son to pick up the peices at 19 just isnt right. Glad hes got a mate who cares aswell, nowadays you dont know whos there for you wiv all this crap about knife crime and god knows what.
terrible
