seriously, i know sweet FA about cars. i think the disks are warped because if you brake, as the car slows there is a funny grinding like sound. does this sound like warped discs? if so i need to buy some new ones, and i dont know if the car has ABS, the brakes are crap, and the car has nothing, no electric windows, no central locking, so i'm guessing no.

HELP please

If its scraping i'd say either the pads are fucked or rear shoes. To check if its got ABS, either slam on the brakes or just check if it has an ABS ring or sensor around the hub or see if it has an ABS light when you switch on the ignition.

I'd say it won't have though, but I still can't see it being warped discs.

If the disc's are warped you usually get a vibration on the steering wheel when your braking.

Sounds like the pads are worn down either to the indicator or metal on metal.

Measure the disc's to make sure there not below minimum thickness or make sure they're not lipped on the edges and the surfaces are rust & groove free. Also check the pads to see how meaty they are.

and to check if it has abs, slam your foot on the break as hard as possible, and if it skids and you crash & die, you dont have abs. If your alive and it dosent skid you have abs lol
