Do the TT course.

Lovely place, been over for the TT.
I assume you're staying in Douglas? Take a trip down to the south of the island, some lovely little place on the coast.

No the limits are very similar to here, police are very easy going though from what I've seen. We saw them sat on the bonnet of their car at the bottom of the mountain watching spectators flying past at 120+, they were loving it.

I'm off there for a family wedding in October.
I have been a few times to watch rallying and I have family out there.
It's fairly quiet out there unless there is some event on like the TT, Manx GP or the rallying.
The two main places are Douglas and Ramsay, not much over the other side of the island. Plenty of hotels though, the Hilton is a casino. Nightlife is in Douglas.
They used to have no speed limit over the mountain road, which is part of the TT course, but I am not sure whether they have curbed it now though. My cousin took me out, 160mph passing a police car
Are you sailing or flying? The planes are like caravans with outside toilets, seriously scary!!

Yeah I am going by ferry, from Heysham at 2.15am.... grrr @ night boat!
It is lovely, quiet, nice place to chill out, plenty of sea air. Think there is a race track up at Jurby, might be something on there whilst you are there, could check that out.
Like I said though, Douglas and Ramsay are the main two places. Castletown, Port Erin, Peel and Laxey are all fairly quiet. You can get the tram up to the top of the mountain from Laxey, thats certainly an experience!!

If it's rough the super seacat won't sail, but if it does will take you 2hrs 30 mins.
Usually gets a bit choppy when you are near to Douglas, even if it is calm.
It's slight to moderate at the moment, so shouldn't be too bad.

i've got family there as well. i love it, awesome place. the crossing is usually a bit choppy, just get a seat near the middle of the boat and you'll be fine! we used to always go to peel for an ice cream and sit on the edge of the docks. good times. enjoy it!

The seacat is awesome the hilton casino has 'colours' underneath which is a club which I mentioned before and it's dead easy to pull, as is paramount down the road. They have a go-kart circuit i think it's in a place called onken up the hill from douglas, not sure how good the karts would be though they were pretty poor when we went about 4 years ago but a laugh.

The TT course takes you through a lot of towns 30mph speed limit. The mountain pass is terrific, take a de-tour just before the bridge -for spectators (few miles after Ramsey). It takes you down a gorgeous little valley.
