was looking at on yesterday and loved the look of them and the half leather interior was stunning too so i was wondering if anyone has drove one before? either the 1.6 or 1.8.

basically would like to know what are they like power wise?im not expecting them to really fast but nippy enough for around the doors.
also what is the driving position like?and do they feel comfortable to drive?

They are ok performance wise for a 1.6 or 1.8, nothing mind blowing though. Personally I can never get comfortable in them, if you want it to look like the above then you may aswell just buy an SRI with the X-pack on it?

Oh don't get me wrong, comfy car, the 1.6 twinport is a lively, just don't find anything insiring. They are lovely clean looking, even better modded, just couldn't have one as a car IMO

yea i read that in a review.
i prefer the look of 5dr ones tbh for some reason.they still look very sporty with a few sensible mods.

All new cars are arse...
drab interior and 'economic' engines under warranty. Once the warranty is over you get fucked over by them when it goes wrong.
Plus the general build quality has fallen...i just think its a joke.

if i was to get one it would be the diesel had one for a couple of months was good on fuel really nippy and very comfy and can be made to look very nice

well from the impression i get when working on them, they are tacky and fragile. Clips and plastic bits come out and dont go back in because they've broken or bent...
I have little confidence in new vehicles to go back the way they came apart.

We have wads of paperwork and diagrams at work saying what panel gaps and shutline widths we have to build into the cars. 0.5mm here, 0.2mm there, and so on.
