1.2 8v is notoriously bad on fuel
But that is seriously bad. £50 would probably get me over 500 miles

Granted you look as if you weigh approx the same weight as fifty quids worth of petrol Deano but you don't get that sort of milage out of an 8 valve Corsa.

your journeys must be long are they?
mine are very short ones just pottering about to work & back (3 miles each way)
planning on getting the 1.8 sri C next summer, hopefully it wont be much worse as the engine wont be under as much strain with it been a bigger engine.

That was driving like a complete fanny though, 60mph tops on motorway unless overtaking etc.
Been driving a bit harder lately, so I imagine I'll get 48-50mpg.
I always fill the car up to the brim. I then reset the mileometer (or what ever it's called). Then on the next fill up, that will be how many litres I've used. And I know the mileage to that litres.
Litres x 0.22 = gallons
Mileage / gallons = MPG

600+ on long journeys in my 2l DTi (but that was £57 worth)
When that was recorded that was driving far from a fanny, more like a bellend, so I image driving like a fanny it would easy make 650 - 700 on a tank

Depends how you drive it!!! I can get 340 miles on £50 out of my John Cooper Works and the next week if I drive like a balloon it will drop to 200 miles!
