yes i know what you mean. fucking does my head in. i'll answer the phone in our workshop and people will just say the name of the person they want to speak to or just start talking. i more often than not keep hanging up until they get the message and call back with "manners".

i.e when you get into work and say hello and your boss looks at the floor and ignores you because you didn't say it in Welsh

how do you say hello in welsh anyway? i'm gonna say it to the old fucker in the shop near the marina this weekend. she always talks to the regulars in english but then switches to welsh when a stranger walks in like its some kind of test.

I really hate the not saying goodbye thing on the phone, its so fucking anoying! Its lucky we cant do 1471 from work or have caller ID!

i hate at work when i introduce myself and get greeted by silence when the other person just waits for me to say something, would be nice of them to acknowledge me. ive taken to staying silent until they talk or hang up, have had people hang up 3 or 4 times when i repeat the same thing
