Sounds like a gimmick...
Let me guess special edition Fiesta ST that they're only making 500 of... which will pretty much be identical to the rest.

had a quick look on google, the only difference to an st is its black, has 1970 rs bonnet stripes, grey wheels and a bit of carbon trim and leather heated seats

no its not like that, his mums buying it, he gets use of it when shes not in the country which is 6months a year. He says its nice, he wasnt being a nob about it, i just mean he wont shut up talking about it

Just find them disapointing in standard trim. When you consider the pace of a Corsa XE 150 bhp - you'd expect a 'fiesta' (a small hatch back) with 150 bhp to be of a similar pace.
Instead it's more like Corsa Gsi pace.

Plus the new fiesta is far heavier
Don't just go off book figures they are quite a deceptive car
Granted they a fast car but they are by no means a slow car

Yes that's what I'm saying, the new fiesta is extremely heavy for its 'size' and name.
Therefore the 150 bhp struggles to pull it along.
I'm not going off book figures, don't even know what they are. I'm going off real world experience of the car.
Yes they're not 'slow' compared to say a 1.1 fiesta, but for the type of car it is, the 'ST' badge and the amount of power it has you'd expect better.

They are very slow for what they are, but yeah like phil I like them for some reason too. Just wish they were more capable.

exactly butler. I don't slag the car off for it's looks or anything else. I think they're nice, but as said just wish they had the go to match the show and badge.

As someone who owns a fiesta ST i would agree with everything in this thread... not as quick as you would think but thats due to the weight which has already been talked about...

to be fair, as standard it does feel under powered, they do offer alot of potential, the duratec is one of the best engines out there at the moment! they handle well, they look good, and with 2-3k spent on them they are transformed.
