My mate took me out for a spin in his Civic Type R earlier (52 reg), and my word what a car! I know they've not got a great rep on here but they are great cars imo. I used to have a 1.6 vtec vti and loved the way that pulled, but the 2.0 engine pulls so much more

He is selling his 52 reg with 48K on the clock and only wants #5500 which I think is a stupidly cheap price for it imo! He's given someone else first refusal on it but if they pull out I'm so tempted myself as I know its well looked after. He's now getting a ST3 Focus.

Alex, you drove a 182, i had my amtes type R for a day, and prefer the 182 in all areas other than the gearbox feel.... nothing wrong with my box, just the type R is a closer ratio..

Im quite turned on by the thought of an Integra TypeR (2001+ model). Think id go for one of them over a Civic, you can get them for 10k now!

tell him to get dreamscience on race+ , full exhaust system and CAIS, should see about 280bhp, possibly more which should be enough to put a smile on his face.

word of warning though, boring as fuck with traction control on (mines always off) and below 4k rpm it's a bit of a yawn. past that though, my adrenalin pumps like mad

Yeah you can supercharge a EP with K20a VTEC because the Ariel Atom is a 400bhp supercharged K20a and the sound is awesome

I personally really like the Type R (EP3 only tho). The EK9s just look to old now imo

I like the looks of them in Milano Red with the white wheels but if the funds were at hand then I would buy the much better JDM EP3

If money was no object and i had to choose a civic hatch it would be the JDM EP3 as Eck posted above or the JDM EK9 Type R

That's wheel horse power, standard they're about 160bhp at the wheels, so that's about a 60bhp increase.

Charged ones with decent air intake and exhaust system make 280bhp +

Not cheap by any means, hondata + mapping is £800, manifold back exhaust system £1000 +, air filter £400, then the cost of the charger and fitting. Then brakes, diff, suspension....
