When you mouse over the thread name and a preview box of the first few lines of txt appear.

I've seen this feature on quite a few forums and find it's more helpful to threads that you're interested in reading, rather than clicking on it and then going back.
Especially on threads with cryptic names like 'Who likes....'

Example from AOC

May not be possible to do depending on what format etc this forum uses but just a suggestion

I've seen it before, having a pop-up preview is a good feature to use on forums
