I started a new job yesterday. Its a year long placement and I went from having most days free working 2 part time jobs to having no free time and it's starting to get me down. I split with my GF recently and thats not the best thing to happen a the same time.
So tell me, what do you do in your spare time outside of the 9-5?

PS3, CS, drink, go out on the bike, rock climbing, look forward to driving my car, etc etc.

Im an IT technician at a local college. Im sat infront of a computr pretty much all day. Iv never worked 9-5 before as this is my 2nd year of uni. I havent even made it till the weekend and im moaning about having no free time. Do the weekends make up for it?

I like to do something on a weekend otherwise you feel crap going to work on Monday feeling like you've wasted the weekend. The downside it if you have an action packed weekend you end up going to work on Monday wishing it was still the weekend. You can't win!

I have mates but they all have girlfriends, which is what would have kept my time busy in the evenings. lol
I think it's a case of suckin it up, ill get used to it I think. and thinking about it, I never did anything outside of work anyway! I think its just cos im working so much that Im starting to feel the need to do stuff.

You can start by planning to come to the next NWNW meet
The breakup won't be helping. Plus if the lads have all fired each off for girls there's nothing in place there. You can start by arranging a lads night or alternatively find single friends.

this is a very good idea. i did this recently and love it. its good to get out and get exercise for loads of reasons. you sleep better, keep fit, lose weight and feel generally better. it gives you a confidence boost that i think you'll appreciate atm.
in the week i usually go for a bike ride then for a pint with the lads on the monday, stay in on tuesday, bike ride wednesday, poker league thursday.
that is the basis of my week and then their are extras thrown in depending on how much cash i've got or what everyone else is doing.
weekends are usually mental and random.

No offence or anything, but I agree with Joey.
I work 6 days a week (and doing 2 hours on a Sunday), so your not in the worse situation. Theres plenty of time after work to chill as well? TBH you started yesterday
I haven't had a full weekend in a good 3 years now, while going to school for 5 days a week or working for 5 days a week.

Mate i'd kill for a 9-5. Today is my 17th day in a how without a day off, often doing split shifts or up to 14 hour long shifts, and when not at work i have a horse to look after which takes up 3-4 hours a day, often up there for 7am, or 2am after work. You have evenings and weekends thats yours, make the most of them
