Well as some of you may know i am going to college in august to do Motor Vehicle maintenance & Repair, So i had to go out and find a work placement so i tried different garages like Ford,Renault,Mitsubishi and Peugeot and i had a phone call back from them all saying they wont be taking anyone on this year so i thought, hmmm what am i going to do so after a day cleaning the corsa it came to me, why didnt i apply for vauxhall So that i did and i had my interview on tuesday and had a phone call from the head guy of the mechanics section saying that he wants to take me on, so im extremely happy today

Yeah but you see i forgot about it because its a new build in the middle o nowhere, They knocked the old one down a while back and the new one has just been open 2 or 3 weeks

I regret giving up too easy when i had an apprenticeship.

nice one mate! I got in at vauxhall but decided to pursuse career in engineering so i am now halfway through a 4 year apprentiship with shell. Apprentiships are the way forward imo the money is shit but i jus think in 10 years time cd be earning 3-4 times as much as mates who left school and got jobs straight away

Yeah I would be going to college 3 days a week and at vauxhall 2 days untill christmas so whether the guy decides to pay may thats up to him fingers crossed

i applied at vauxhall but they arent taking on this year but got one pending wit renault and one pending with ford had the call backs just waiting on the decision off them. hope i get the ford one i start off on 200 a week (bare in mind im 18)

Thats bloody RACKING it in mate £2.50 a hour i was on when i started with ford, best advise i can give you is listen to the master techs, don't ever show a attatued, but dont show that you are a walk over, and you will do well! Congratulations on getting the job

i had an interview at my local lookers today for one of their service apprenticships...now just waiting on a verdict.

Just got everything crossed! ...and am bricking one, only because i want the job so badly!
