Just phoned up insurance for some quotes so I can decide what to do car wise.
My insurance is due for renewal in September and ill also be 20 by then.
Got a quote for corsa turbo 210bhp limit...........
£1600 FULLY COMP
I think thats great tbh, sounds a lot to some but im payin about £1110 - 1200 atm on a 1.4 so an extra £400 for another 110bhp is worht it
Also asked about another car...
I said its an import! - He then said ahhh cant touch you till your over 25, so I cant insure a JDM Type R but I can get insured on something just as, if not faster! and less safe
So yeh all in all im quite happy corsa turbo here I come

They cant really prove its what you say it is but its better to be safe and tell the truth just incase they can.

Decent quote that mate, insurance are stupid though, quoted me £2200 on a 130bhp VTS, but only £1100 on a 2.0 Redtop at 170bhp

My friend works for insurance. He says as long as the mods are internal and cannot be seen then run what you want.
There never has been and never will be a case of an insurance company taking a car to bits to look inside.
Especially a corsa, it's not worth their time, effort and extra costs.

That 3k include the insurance money or have you got the insurance money on top of the £3k?

3k is for getting it built, going to use Beardy I think, need to talk to him about it but yeh ill be paying insurance on top of that, most likely monthly which makes it easier

Make sure you dont spend all £3k on the build. I would honestly budget yourself a minimum of £500 as something is bound to fuck up. They always do on a newly done conversion

Watch out Jay cause LET's run 201bhp standard so even fitting a system will take you over your limit or very close. Maybe building 60bhp onto an XE would be better as it'll be cheaper and more reliable.
I got a quote for £899 FC with no limit for power or mods but a 5000 milage limit (per year)
