Holy shit. I just realised that I got charged £38 fucking quid for a failed direct debit.
The even more annoying thing is that the reson it failed is because my direct debit for Sky tried to be taken out of my account first thing in the morning and my wages were paid into my account at mid-day. £38 for the sake of a couple of hours. Madness

They have also put me onto a graduate account. Despite me filling in the form saying that I graduate in 2009, phoning them on several occasions, and going into branch to try and sort out the issue. They don't listen so I feel the need to phone them up and have words tomorrow...
Think i'll need to change to HSBC some time soon anyway as they provide some services I may require

Oh, and thier online banking service is utterly awfull. It must have been designed by some idiot on Front Page. It just doesn't work, and has been the same since they launched it. Haven't they realised that web browsers and interface programming techniques have advanced massively?

No, not really as it was my fault for not arranging to have the money in my account the day before. But I think the charge for it is slightly excessive and has gone up massively. The last time this happend to me was a few years back and I got fined a tenner which I guess is ok as it is in the terms and conditions.

Same here. They provide roughly the same service and probably the same charges But the online service looks better.
Plus, If a shop that I go to annoyed me I wouldn't go shopping there anymore. So why not treat a bank the same way?

Debt is for people who are un-employed. Luckily I'm no longer un-employed and will be out of my overdraft and cleared my credit card in a few weeks time which will be happy

Im with HSBC, their online banking is far superior to Barclays and Abbey (ive used all 3) but cant compare to anyone elses (IMO). However, I dislike their customer service, where if you go into branch you queue to speak with an advisor instead of just going up to the counters as they hide them out back now.

Only thing that does my nut with Natwest is the stupid PIN reader you have to use online now. And the only place I have used it is on their site. Which should be the safest place no?

I can work it perfectly fine. You must be an idiot for thinking that I can't based on my previous statement.

Thais nice for you. Do you happen to live with your parents still and not have to manage a multitude of bills that come out of your account at different times of the month.

Barclays have this now. Silly little calculator thing. I didn't mind it first of all but the keys are too close together and it says enter ref when it means enter account number. Ref indeed. I don't know what ref is.
