from a boost gauge?











just remembered what a lad i knew told me a while ago. he had a 1.0 corsa and he bought a vacum gauge and claimed it added 10bph also told me that the wirring noise his car made was and intercooler and it was under the engine.

all this from someone who did mechanics at the college

awww what i was told boost gauges gave you at least 10bhp depending on engine size and that you could have a dump valve on a non turbo car damn pikey's

planty: could of picked a better pic

ed: i intend to get one for mine just unsure whether to get an oil pressure or oil temp aswell. but it works out about 120 for the 2 gauges and the pod

oil temp imo

My GTI has one as OE and its nice knowing when its up to temp before you go booting it. Much better than water temp

Not as good as my mechanic mate who said, i quote "An induction kit is the equivalent to a third of a turbo"

What a fucking idiot. Of course, I then asked "so would 3 induction kits mean you had a turbo?", "what psi will it be running?", etc

His tutor told him that stupid fact, so it must be true

would of been even worse if he said it how i read it

i missed the 'of a' out when reading it so it looked like 'equivalent to a third turbo'

appentice mehanics do talk a load of pish eg:-

"if you bore a 1.6 out to a 1.7 it becomes a diesel"
"you can't wheelspin a diesel, because the pistons hit off the head"
