Just came back from Tesco, was in a 30 zone, and an old lady without looking either way just walked out infront of my car! Scared the shit out of me, i had to slam on. Wasn't any zebra / pelican crossings there either. Then she looked at me in disgrace when I used my horn? When you're older do you lose the ability of common sense? Or is it okay to do things like that because they're old?
Has this happen to anybody else?

I would of if I was going more than 30, as I wouldn't of had time to slow down in time

when i used to cycle to work i knocked an old lady over who stepped out into the road. i spotted her stood at the curb about 50 yards away and she appeared to be keeping an eye on the traffic to her left (oncoming for me), she never once looked right.
i checked over my shoulder to see if i could move further out into the road incase she stepped out. there was a car just about to come level with me so i didnt bother. next thing thing daft cunt walks straight out infront of me and i mowed the bitch over! she went down like a sack of shit and i ended up going over my handle bars and my bike went under the over taking car.
probably better that i knocked her down otherwise she'd have gone under the car and probably be dead. stupid old fucker.

the only time i've ever crashed a car was because of an old person. i was driving along at 30 or less passing parked cars and next thing i know there's a skoda fabia blocking the lane. i swerved a little bit still fucked my front end right up. she said after she was trying to cross the road i was on but a van was parked with his lights on so she couldn't see me coming down the road. so she decided to just pull out really quickly thinking she'd get accross before any other cars got there. fucking numb i'm telling you. they should have to take another driving test at 65.

my nan used to say that young drivers should slow their reactions down to be more inline with the elderly. that way we'll all be on the same level and there will be less accidents. wtf she was on about i will never know.
