just had the following email come round at work as it all falls under the Marshall Group
quote:
Due to panic buying and the uncertainty of further supplies I have had
to limit supplies to 20 litres per customer, across the board.
Would you be kind enough to advise Aerospace.

I wonder what the official status of the fuel crisis actually is, one minute they are saying that they think they can drill out loads more (as in 40 more years)
However I guess that it is just a temporary shortage

Clearly. The way their employees treat you as well clearly shows that they are on minimum wage:
"Any fuel?" "Card" "PIN"

Perhaps they have been told to move the customers on more quickly
too many customers = full forecourt + cars waiting (who may go elsewhere)
I don't personally go to any Shell petrol stations, it's either BP, Sainsbury's or Tesco's for moi

I always fill up at shell as I have a shell credit card. 3% back on all shell fuel which is nearly 4p a litre less.

Filled up yesterday, no signs around our way of rush buying.
It'll be in the papers at the weekend say fuel prices are going to go down, then this time next week hells coming, all repent.

Not too bad in the south, were on £1.17.9 pl but after have my exhaust coming apart i done 15l in 24 hours untill i could get the parts i needed
Thinks its a touch over £50 to fill my tank rather than £40.90 ish

Fuel is expensive 'cus approximately 50% of the price is tax, the fact the price of crude is rising doesn't help but if the governement would lower taxes then it wouldn't be a problem.
And the big oil companies have far more assets than just selling petrol so those billion dollar profits are coming from various things not just selling petrol. If you look at what crude oil can be used for then you'll understand.

Isnt it split into about 17 different products oils, flamable liquids and gasses? prices on heating oil has gone throught the roof but because not alot of people use it it doesnt get much media hype.

So because Shell tanker drivers are striking it means that there is going to be no fuel...... umm ok! so that means that all the other companies are not going to delivery as well?? dont think so! Prices should stay the same with reguads the Pay strike, the only reason for the price to go up/down is a, price of Oil and b, A fat twat who thinks he can run the country but clearly he cant......
