Thought I would do a little update on my car. Basically im turning my 1.0 12v Corsa B into a low budget rally slag car. Its been debadged already, and ive just primed all of the steelies to go white. Plans for when i get the money is - lower it 40mm, put rally mudflaps on, GSI spoiler with 3rd brake light, different rear lights, and mesh the front bumper. I also need to paint the plastics black becos they have turned nasty shades of grey!! Once it has stopped raining and ive got a chance to wash it, i will post pics up.

Why, if he wants to make a low budget rally car then he should. There's no reason not to.

Im keeping the same engine in. Too much hassle and money to get a new engine in there. This post isnt a joke, just in caseu were wondering. U dont need a 1.6 in ur car to have fun!!!! Im going to make it look a little diff from the rest of the cars you usually on the road. So what do I care if ppl think it will look a bit stupid, my car, my rules. Once its finished I will be posting pics up so you can alll see what ive done with it.

People on here have gsi style cars on 1.2s.
I dont see much harm in having a rally styled car?

The term "Rally Slag" has a bit more menace to it than a GSi tbh And completely stripping one out, and doing everything but the engine seems a bit excessive.

But that's the rally look then, not a rally slag...That's like going for the Turbo style, with a 1.2 8v and an electric dump valve. I'm not shooting the lad down for doing it, it's his car...Whatever he likes, then enjoy it. But I would disagree with the term "rally slag" for a 55bhp Corsa.

Mongol rally is for only 1 litre cars
The 1 litre Rule:
You can only use a car with an engine of 1 litre or less that is generally considered to be crap. If you want to go on a motorbike (ideally a scooter) they are limited to under 125cc. We're an amicable bunch though, so if you're desperate to use something bigger you can be accommodated, but you will be fined £100 for every 0.1 litre above the limit, payable straight to the charities.

Read my reply 2 minutes before Charade GTi's are slightly different from a 1.0 Corsa. If you can find me a STANDARD 1.0 12v rally car, I will actually eat my hat.
