Got the Mini back today but it still needs an MOT.

Would it fail on headlight alignment (up and down, Lights are dipped a bit much)?

And also, Whats the consequences of getting caught without MOT but fully insured?

Cheers..

Were you not recently caught without insurance?

You care allowed to drive it to a pre booked MOT with no mot.

Yeah if your going to drive it up then book an MOT for that day or the next & if your stopped then it will be ok so long as its insured & taxed.

Headlight would probably be a fail but will be adjusted to pass

I know it's nothing to do with it but you've been caught with no insurance and you're considering driving with no MOT, a bit foolish imo.

If you have crash, without an MOT your not insured.
If you get pulled, 3 points and possible fine.

Book an MOT as colin says and drive it at the sort of time you'd be driving to get to the mot station, or go for the mot and get it done.

Gaffer Tape over the light.....apparently their now allowed to remove it

How far are you going to move it? If it was a mile or 2 id just do it.....whats the chances of getting pulled? If you are its not like having no insurance. Youd get a 100 quid fine or something!

This is a BMW Mini isn't it? The police are a lot less likely to pull over something new like that than an old banger tbh I'd say the chances of you getting stopped are slim...And if you did, it would be a fine, not points. It's a risk, but it's your call obviously John!
