How much debt are you in because of cars alone (Insurace, loans, finance etc) Do you regret getting into debt for your car? What's the most debt you would get into for a car?

£5100

£6000 loan over two years, £300 a month. Reliable car with low mileage... worth it imo.

i dont agree to debt, if your want something bad enough then u can save for it...........

much more rewarding when u own a car and not a bank also........

thats just my opinion tho, but i am a saver and not a spender!

£0

Can't afford it, don't have it!

Only time I owed money on my car was, when my engine seized up after paying for a re-spray I was skint, and parents loaned me money but as soon as I got paid, I gave them it straight back and just stayed in and did nothing for a month!

Hate the idea of owing money!

I took out a 4k bank loan to turbo my corsa, paid it off though when the army gave me a wad of cash for my medical discharge.

got about 7k left on finance for the fiesta

will have 18.9k out on finance for the focus (18.9k is total on finance as i'm part exing the fiesta)

but it's not what i see as debt. debt, to me, is something that you either find very hard to pay back and do a lot of work to do so or something which you can't pay back at all.

i'm perfectly capable paying back the money each month and still have 1200 quid a month after i've paid for running the fiesta (insurance, finance payment and petrol) so it's not really debt to me.

i tend not to look at the negative things in life

if everyone thought like that, no one would buy houses

i should be fine, get my full contract in 2 months and it's 15 years work, can't see ford going into liquidation tbh.

Plus, it's through Ford, so they'd just take the car back, right?

I woe £0 and am saving quite hard for next year when I get something long lasting.

The only time I'll ever get credit or a debt in my life is 1) mortgage 2) car
