Name your words that you know but don't think are common knowledge as to what they mean....i.e. get called a clever clogs for saying a 'big word' or something

Few of mine:

elucidate : to give an explanation

insipid : lacks interest, dull

I'm looking to extend my vocabulary so post away

I quite unfortunately went through a phase of not remembering the word 'articulate' which was quite embarrasing at meetings etc

If I struggle now i think of a lorry (an articulated one ) true story.

We used to get loads of buzz words in my old job, well annoying

Please don't start lengthening out every sentance by using silly phrases such as 'visa vi'

Dilver is a word, its from olden times though and is not really used these days.

Month has no rhyming word, apart from 'something'
