This thread is dedicated to Colin
Mate of mine got a lovely 57 Plate Blue Focus ST at the weekend and i absolutely LOVE IT!!
Tonnes of grip...seats are mega supportive and comfortable..pretty quick especially when it gets to 3rd gear Light contols and smooth transmission.
I read about how they made the induction noise come into the cabin and didn't know what to make of it but it sounded awesome! Just the right amount of roar and turbo whistle
Seen a nice 06 plate with 16K miles for £12,825 on AT also so they are coming down a bit in price now! Think that's due to the new one being out?

good thinking
i was going to get an 07 plate one (mk2 shape) but i just got a fantastic price on a facelift version today so i'm just going to go and order an orange one
also, you'll love the exhaust and the noise and popping

they do indeed, have a white facelift folow me into work most days, scares the crap outta me the way it accelerates up behind me
it will be a wise choice, especially at just over 12k, lot of car for the money

For 12K it's a lot of car!! Won't it be in a bad tax bracket soon though??

I really like the back end on both but IMO the facelifted front looks more aggressive.

Same with me on the front end. I think it's the colour coded fog light part that I'm not keen on. And the squarer lights on the pre-face lift just look meaner sometimes I think? Asbo orange FTW though

What seems good also is the scope for tuning! Morego...BBR...etc etc
A nice exhaust would be a good first mod i rekon..nothing to intrusive though.

FWD though?? Would be a struggle? I rekon 250-260 would be ample and easyer to drive.

We've done a couple now (one today in fact) which are seeing 320bhp or so with a Milltek exhaust, filter and our custom Dreamscience remap, sound awesome and don't struggle with the power too much.
The traction control is fucking annoying though, needs to be switched off or the car is shit to drive.

Oh, the one today was white. After seeing a white one, I wouldn't be even considering any other colour, it's just perfect for it.

they also have a different turbo on them and intercooler for that kit.
they are a good car if you can deal with people asking how your volvo is all day.

we have a black facelifted one here at work. Going to bag myself the keys today I think. Driveability is miles ahead of the VXR imo.

They seem a good VFM. The looks have grown on me. Not sure about the facelifted one yet!
Engine noise is fantastic.
