will try to make this one short:

guy goes to garage for remap
mapper refuses to map engine as EM light is on
EM light is due to faulty lambda system and faulty injector
customer goes away and ignores the advice not to drive the car as its dangerously rich (7.0:1 A/F ratio at some points)
customer drives car regardless of advice and drives it hard
engine begins to tap, engine begins to knock, engine stalls.

turns out there was so much petrol being injected that it washed the bores, got past the rings and into the oil. oil turned to piss and oil pump wouldnt pump it round, top end goes dry and lifter sieze, cams lock up and pull the belt off. Dead engine with cost of over £800+labour to fix.

cost of new lambda sensor and used set of injectors was £120.

My mates vectra the eml has been on for 3 years now

it pissed him off so much he took the bulb out,but its suprisingly still going

Mine comes on once every coulpe of week for about 10 secs then goes off! It tends to happen on a cold day.

I get to choose when i want turbo power and when i don't

on my old car my em light use to come on all the time but needed a new afm so put one on, sill came on when it felt like it for like 10 secs, never found out why

Depends what the EML light is on for, in this case engine was running really rich

eml on my corsa was on and off more than the light at a brothel! i had everything checked or changed and no one could find out anything wrong with it and it drove perfectly fine
