Right, I got my write off value cheque today.

Phoned the insurance company and told them i would be selling and the lad's taking the engine out.

They said it would be fine.

Thing is, i'm sure the guy won't put the engine in his corsa, and he told me he'll probably just fix it and drive it about.

If i make him sign a letter saying that he know's its a cat b write off, am i definately covered to sell it him?

I really don't want to sell it, if i'm going to get into trouble or it'll come back in my face. He's got £600 ready and can pick it up tonight / tomorrow morning.

Any help / advice?

It's got tax till august, and i think he'll probably get insurance as it's only just happened

make two reciepts, expalining cat b, sold as seen advised not to be driven. both of you sign both copys. one for you one for him. your arse is covered in black and white
