older car's because
a)most of them were built better
b)most of them are better looking/they don't all look the same like new car's do.

Dont like how much new cars depriciate,or how they look and they have to many electronic gizmos which take the fun out of driving

Its like i prefer the corsa b over the corsa c,corsa b looks better, but then i prefer the nova over the corsa b lol

Iv had 2 new and 2 old.

Old, good and cheap for parts usually.

New, Its new of course, Mostly better economy (within reason), that new car feel.

But im going back to an old car this year and getting the biggest engine possible. Tax is going up for new cars and its becoming less affordable to own a new car , so old cars with big engines to halp global warming is the way forward.

New.

My driving history, although short i have have gone from one extreem to the other, 15yr old to a 6month old. Personally i prefer newer, much more comfy inside, nicer to drive, easier to steer and handle and safer at higher speeds.

Depends what type of new car your talking about.

You can't compare a 20 year old Nova to a new BMW for instance.

Also, new cars take the fun out of driving . Too easy to drive.

I had a 1.6 chipped 2002 Mini Cooper and still drove my 1.2 8v corsa because you felt so involved in driving, Good fun.

I feel that older cars are just generally built stronger,

eg like the petrol instance with tesco, my mums car (52plate) splurted and eventually stopped, mine (r-reg) nahhh chuck it in there! Just kept going!

And older car's got more uniqueness and i feel i could mess around with an older car more than a newer one, you feel you can't touch them in a way! lol

Various Fords such as The EsCos, and Audi Quattro will always make me want older cars.
