spec as it stands
low milage c20let block
86.5mm courtenay low comp pistons
steel rods with bronze grudgen pins
arp rob bolts
1.9mm cometic head gasket
coscast cylinder head
courtenay sport cams
2.0 8v sump baffle plate
astra vxr injectors
adjustable fuel pressure regulator
modified throttle bodie
enlarged tophat
front mounted intercooler
200sx tubular manifold with vauxhall/t3 flanges
garrett t34 .63 escort cosworth turbo
forge actuator
dawes device manual boost controller
pvd big induction kit
3" downpipe
full 3" exhaust system
scorpion 4" outwardly rolled backbox
f28 gearbox
evo5 chips
1.2 bar of boost
ttok it in for a setup tonight it made 290bhp on test run and air fuel ratio was 15's!!!! how the hell it was still alive i dont no!
after 4 hours of messing heres the results
1.2 bar of held boost on the mbc
air fuel 13.8/9 full boost (need to get this down abit)
357bhp @6073rpm
320lbft torque

very please with that just a few issues now
1. lamba must be funcked as its rich as hell 9's on idle
2. running abit rich at full rpm/boost
3. cannot seem to get above 1.2 bar evan with actuator pipe off (actuator strength?)
4. maybe a dodgy fuel pressure regulator as altering anywhere between 4-5bar does not alter the afr much top end?
still happy though and ready for donnington this weekend!

I have found increasing fuel pressure over 4 bar won't really gain much fuel flow through injectors.

its not that lean mate at 5500rpm its only in the 11's just blips upto 13's at 6000rpm not exactly mega lean at that, and like i said we are struggling to get it down more which i do want

If its in the 11's its rich, not lean. You don't want to run and engine lean.

yes i no mate thats why high 13's is starting to lean off so i would ideally like to bring full throttle down to 11's but we are struggling. i very much dout its going to go bang at 13's though

11's isnt rich for a turbo car thats a safe ratio, 13's is lean!
for a nasp car at full load 12.5 is safe, so high 13's is lean for nasp never mind turbo.
i wouldnt like to drive it full throttle if it was in the 13's, but what do i know

id get rid of the evo21928 chips and map it to get the fueling right.

map what? im on standard ecu theres no mapping to be done, we have just tried setting my fuelling as best as we can, i understand 13.8/9 is lean but i could not get it any lower no matter what we tried and like i say its 11's all the way up to 5500rpm just leans off at 6000rpm, how do you suggest getting the afr down at full throttle?

either map the standard ecu or swap to a standalone system, depends how much you value your engine IMO! thats nice power but its very lean.
If it was me id sell the chips and do it right, standalone systems now are good valve for money, peak power may not change but reliability will and so will mid range

how do you map a standard ecu?
i was thinking about going megasquirt but tbh this is a toy and trial/error car i concentrate/loose sleep more over my skyline, i will get the afr down its not the chips that are the problem its the fueling top end.

yeah but what controls the fueling, the ecu. whats the duty cycle of the injectors, you maxing them out?
mega squirt is good if you fancy a project but finding someone to map it is hard, there are systems like gotech which are sooo much better for not much more money, and they come with life time guarentee's.
can you afford to rebuild the engine when it does a piston for running lean

Are you sure it wasnt a misfire creeping in at higher RPM making it look leaner? what pressure are you running them at?

misfire would make it rich

as asked above how do you map a standard ecu?
injectors are not maxxed out no.
the ecu controls the fuelling to a certain extent but the fpr is the main control. people run 350bhp on evo 5's all day long with correct afr's so im sure i will get it down,

only missfire we got all night was when the fueling was at 4.5 bar and it was over fueling, iridiums are closed to 0.6 and it has brand new leads and dizzy/rotar
im beginning to wonder weather it could have anything to do with the size of my fuel lines or quality of my fpr, will fit new lamba tomorrow as i know thats funcked showing 9's on tickover and its trying to drown itself!
