Hello,

Some of you might have been following this build in the projects section. But as we've finally got her road legal (after one and half years putting the old girl together) I thought i'd share her with the masses

This is how she started life (1.7D) Van picked up off Ebay for £300

The Mission: To build a fun car that goes like stink, makes people smile and can be used for Trackdays, Show's, 1/4 mile, Road trips... Basically larking about in.

About £5000 later and she still hasn't been cleaned

There's still work to do but she's nearly there.

Here's a few video's taken today (running standard boost at the moment)

On drive

And again

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KltAC7K8EZs

And Onboard

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7UHrX-Ghlw

The look on people's faces when we drive past is priceless Its just been built for fun, and it certainly makes people smile which is great. And yes the Orange light does work

Basic Spec is as follows

Engine:
C20LET
Rebuilt, Coscast head, XE Inlet Cam, Mitsi WR05 Intercooler and custom pipework, JP Straight through Exhaust, Soon to have Evo5 ECU Software.

Gearbox
F28 with Quaife ATB Diff

Suspension:
Yellow Bilstein's with custom poundage springs, Polybushed and Lowered TCA's

Brakes:
HiSpec 4 Pot Upgrade, standard rear drums

Wheels:
Grey 16" Speedline's

Exterior:
Errrr.... Big Orange flashing light and dirty great big intercooler

Interior:
Corbeau Revolutions, 4 Point Harness's, OMP 10 Point Cage, Custom rear brace

And thats about it. This car will be at Combe on the 19th April for anyone who want's to see it. (1:30pm session)

And the full build can be found here

Hope you like.

Yeah, its a bit Marmite that one. But as it came out of the RallyArt Parts bin cheap it got used and was "made" to fit Its gets a lot of Nods from oncoming cars who realise what it is, and again it attracts attention and makes people smile. Yes it looks stupid and OTT but thats the appeal. Oh and of course it does a great job of cooling the Inlet Temp down

No mate He's still gutted about that and is too worried about it happening again to buy another one which is a shame.

Well the engine has been suitably uprated to make the most of the EVO5 Software its going to run..eg:
440cc Injectors
Weber Fuel pressure Red
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
XE Inlet Cam with Vernier
Flowed TopHat and Turbo Intake

So we are hoping for very high 200's but until its dyno'd we won't know for sure. At the moment i'd guess at low 200's due to it running a standard ECU.

Adam,
Yes the larger intercooler does provide more lag but due to the standard KKK turbo being quite small itself this lag is minimal (Turbo spools up nearly as quickly as when the engine was standard to be honest)

Oh and yes it has had a "few" encounters... Running standard boost it's already seen off a 225 Megane & Scooby WRX quite easily. The only other decent machinery we encountered today were bikes!!! And lots of them These proved a little harder to match though...

Wicked

I'd like it more without the large FMIC on show but I guess it serves a purpose
