a lad around the corner from me has a stunning corsa c 53 plate lowered and just looks the dogs danglies
but hes gone and put a C20 LET init which i thought would be silly as having a new car and an old engine

Fast fun, but would imagine it would be a great deal more unreliable with the LEt fitted.

Good engine regardless of age and more tunable than the Z20let.
Not something I would do but each to their own eh?

You see I used to think this but unless you've got a new wiring loom and replace all sensors I wouldnt bet on it being reliable there are too many variables that can affect the reliability of the engine.
Rember the XE you released back to its native home? Just too many variables.

Look at that granada with the koenigsegg ccx engine in general chat?
Regardless of how old the car is, it depends on what the owner wants, yes he could of put a z20let, but you can get more power from the c20let, so i'm assuming thats what he wants.
Plus if its from his old car, he'll know the condition of the engine.

Can kinda see what you mean but if you already had the engine it'd be silly to go out and buy a new one to put in IMO .

I bet he did it for the cheapness! If he has the engine in his old car, it would surely cost him next to nothing to put it in his c as he would use the majority of the old parts!

The engine is only 1 component in a car though, the rest of the car is still only 5 years old so one old component is not as bad to maintain as say putting a let into an L reg B where the whole thing is 15 years old.
