Main/dip headlamp switch faulty.
Headlamp aim too low.
Nearside stop lamp not in good working order.
Nearside and offiside rear reflectors missing.
Rear and front suspension inadequate clearance with the bump stop.
Boot too full
Offside front constant velocity joint gaiter split.
Offside front suspension component mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded.
Offside front tyre has a cut.
Nearside and offside wiper arms excess play/wear windscreen wiper blade insecure.
Any hints on getting it all sorted or ideas of a price on how much that will all be? Not very mechanical when it comes to cars

Yeah I thought it was a bit picky unless they couldn't check the spare or something but they haven't put that down.

They was unsure which didn't exactly help and they said i'd have to do the suspension myself.

lmfao, well thats easily solved.
Thats not bad at all, swap your rear lights for standard ones, a cv gaiter and put your standard springs back (as im guessing that you have lowered ones on your stanard shockers).

doesnt matter if they cant check the spare, its only tested if its there.
if they cant get at it then they wouldnt test it.
sounds like they are just being fussy bastards

put std rear lights back on with good bulbs
get the headlight aim sorted
get a new indicator stalk
either cut bumpe stops down, or raise the suspension
empty the shit out of the boot
get a new cv boot
get a new tyre
get some new wiper arms
and have the welding done
i reckon all that can be done with parts from scrappy and a couple of new bits
welding £50 <someone else doing it
headlight aim £10 <> free do it yourself
std tail lights £10 - £15 with bulbs
indicator stalk £5
change to std supension £40 "from scrappy"
cv boot £10
wiper arms £10
new tyre £35-£50 ish depending on size
so about £150 ish and some hard graft on a weekend will have it a new mot

I wouldnt worry about any of that at all, Ive had cars get about 4 pages of fails on an mot before an still got them through.
If all of those points had been welding then I would have started to get worried.

No offence to your mate but if he reckons 350ish even with a main dealer doing the work he's not very up on his cars.

gib that, a trip to the scrappy and a decent set of tools will see you with all the right parts
even if you put std suspension on, mot it, then swap it back afterwards.

Yeah I plan to do that, or maybe save up for a decent brand new 40mm drop kit.
