and I'm bored

I should love it, its bigger, better on fuel, has more boot space and far more power [1.8 20V T] than the corsa [1.2 8v].........

But with all the toys - traction control, power steering etc its taken the fun away; there no feel back through the wheel. Also everything works and nothing squeeks or rattles like the corsa - its too quiet

Glad I kept the corsa, I might put it back on the road

New cars are generally more boring/easier to drive.

Sell the A3 & get a UR quattro

have done, infact turned it off after 2 days and hasn't been back on since; I think more than anything its getting used to the steering. Its not particularly direct and theres no feedback.

I love everything else about the car; I'm just not enjoying the driving experience (yet)

I'd rather have the slightly less direct steering than drive a 1.2 8v corsa B, any day of the week.

new cars are boring

Think SRi_Si meant, which side of the head (exhaust or inlet)

I'm not saying that the corsa is a better car to drive - far from it. The A3 is awesome to drive - it just hasn't got the fun factor because its "too easy" to drive.

The feel you get back as the tyres just start to lose grip, the vibrations through the wheel with every bump and cats eye in the road; the audi doesn't give you any of that. The cars well built, nothing rattles or squeeks; its a bit dull tbh

I do miss the chuckability of my Corsa, but the comfiness of my Fiesta is what I need. Chuckability for the weekends yes, but it was awful for day to day driving. Just never realised it before as it was my first car so wasn't used to comfiness.

exactly the same issue i had with the passat, its also a 1.8t 20v and probs even more ocmfier and wallows more than your audi! even going from a 1.2 corsa i missed the fun of driving it and the hard suspension, rattles and backache after driving for more than an hour...

so guess what...i own another one...1.8 sri mind! and its s much more fun to drive than the ole boat! altho i do miss the boost

Driving a passat is like night and day from driving my fabia, I don't get in the passat expecting it to handle like a go kart though.
