I'm presuming in most situations, you buy a Corsa as it's you're 1st (or 2nd) car, you're young, and it's cheap to run/insure (etc). I know this isn't the case for everyone, but most people I'd say it is.

Do you regret having the Corsa as your first little car? Would you change anything about your car history? Would you have bothered chucking money and hours into XE'ing/LET'ing your Corsa, or do you wish you just saved it all up and got something quicker and nicer?

Any regrets? Some people on here have chucked absolutely thousands into their Corsa's -- do you regret it at all, when you add it all up?

I'm just getting into the "modding scene" in cars. I've been there with bikes, and I'm guilty of chucking thousands at my R6's and now they're crashed/wrote off/gone, and I kind of regret it, even though I had more fun in one day on the R6 than I ever will in the Corsa. Do you wish you just kept your Corsa standard, and saved money?

Discuss.

I had a few Corsa's years ago, then moved on to bigger things. Since having a family getting another Corsa was an excuse to have a cheap car to play with. Sometimes think I should get something else, but for value for money you can't beat it

Spent silly amounts on my car, I paid £1850 for it 4 years ago and splashed well over £10k on it, don't regret it one bit!

Perfect time to do it, I'm young, don't have a house, not much out goings, so I thought well, might never get chance to go crazy on a car again!

Just like buying a brand new car, keeping it for 4 years and getting feck all for trade in compared to what you paid! (in my eyes anyways)

I'm 26 and the Corsa is my 7th car after owning

957 cc MK3 Fiesta Pop
1.4 Escort MK5 LX
Clio MK1 1.4 RT
MR2 Turbo MK2
MR2 Turbo MK2
Corsa 1.7 Envoy

Current car is a 1.6 Sport Corsa B. I have done a few mods to it as it is generally cheaper to insure and run the the MR2s I had previously and is fairly nippy.

I have no plans to chuck a 2.0 XE or LET in it to be fair, just maybe play with the 1.6 and have a nice example of a Corsa B. Plus I dare leave this places that I wouldn't have left the MR2.

So no, I don't regret anything bout the Corsa 1.6

My 3rd corsa, used to have a 1.2 16v, 1.6 16v, and now have a 2.0 16v.

Don't regret them at all, they're cheap enough as they are, so it would take a while to get some money together for a "decent" car.

Yes and no. It was good fun and made it into how I wanted it to look. But at the same time wish I had saved the money I had spent on it towards something better

Not at all. I'm on my third corsa now. Had a 1.2 8v, 1.2 16v which ended up a 2.0 16v and a 2.1 16v. The black 2.0 ill always have fond memories of, bought it standard and spent thousands getting it to where it is today. Not only that but because of it i met soooo many new people who are now some of my best friends and of course the guys on cs.

If i hadnt of done that car i may never of knew half the people that are now in my life

I dont regret my old Corsa as it helped me meet some great people and learnt a great deal about engines and how a car works etc.

The only regret I have about it, is not knowing when to stop.

Now I have experienced other things (not loads) I can safely say the only time I would buy a Corsa now would be for a cummuting car as its bound to be well built and do many many miles.

I think its deceiving when people say its great value for money when talking about building a Corsa as a toy.

However the Corsa D VXR does seem quite appealing
