Not an expert on them but as far as i know mostly all around good cars. A very enjoyable car to own. fuel economy, as most things largely depends on how silly you are in them! they handle pretty good, and reliability...its a honda *thumbs up to them*

i would really like one of these and am strongly considering one as my next car.

was chatting to a guy i know down the gym who used to own one and loved and actually misses it. he currently owns a mk5 golf gti but has owned an e46 m3, impreza as well as several others and access to an older style v8 vantage.

was taken for a quick spin in the pre face lift 30th edition version and remember it being a very quick and capable hot hatch, wasnt too bad out of vtec but was given a good kick up the once it was engaged and driven correctly the car stayed in vtec after every gear change.

iirc fuel was pretty good out of vtec but rather bad you made full use of the engine everywhere.

wasnt aware of these being stolen alot? there not exactly rare cars im sure there are other hot hatches that are more alot more on the black market

Looking into these and after having driven them they seem a really nice car

There are a couple of reveiws of them from evo magazine at www.evo.co.uk they seemed to think its a really nice all round car and liked it more and more on the long term test.
According to them the facelift ones are the ones to go for as they apparently have slightly tweaked geometry etc. Plus imo they look alot nicer

Try admiral for a quote I got one of £1500 from them and im 20 with 2 years ncb but am in a fairly high risk area.

Whilst on the subject are there any decent forums im yet to find a good one

just read on forums that manchester is a very bad area to own 1 lol, car jacking, waiting outside your house etc etc, lots used for bank robberies because they are a quick car, but not too obvious...id really like 1, can pick pre-facelifts for £7k, dont know whether ones with 70k miles are bad tho? but i do prefer a facelift version.

Get a VTEC de-limiter... bring it down to at least 5.5k rpm (a la S2K) or even lowe rif you want and look at a Hondata remap

And maybe a Jackson s/c

so long as its been looked after it will keep going for a long time yet, there are loads of high milage prelude vtis out there and about half the ATRs you see advertised are over 100,000 with atr fans not being put off by this

The one you have labeled way to cheap isnt that far off the usual price. Just check its not a cat-D as there are alot of them about. Could be a reason for the facelift bumpers. Might just be a fair price

all seem well priced but facelift model is abit too cheap IMO, though dont forget right now its hard to sell cars at the mo with fuel prices my mate had to take 4k in the end for his mint 172 cup as he had no interest at all, also i know someone trying to sell an e46 330ci and hasnt had anyone contact him in 3 months about it.

those prices could probably be reduced slighty if your going to buy
