(please excuse any random rambling or spelling errors, as i am extremely f*cked (i bet you can guess what that word is))

Tonight i had one of the best conversations of my life.
I'm not entiretly sure if it was because i was under the unfluence or just because, emmmmm i don't know.... I have no other reason really.

But it all started with how (in my mind) religion is BULLSHIT!
Its the biggest, and oldest form of brain-washing there is.
Obviously i cannot prove this, but this is what i strongly believe in and i assume what most other people with an ounce of common sense assume also.
Basically science has proved most (if not all) religions to be storys. Storys of which have grown legs arms and many tails throughout the years.

eg. Jesus turning water into wine... physically impossible!

Moses parting the seas... also physically impossible!

And last but not least, the VIRGIN mary having a child!!!! WHAT!?? HOW?? Was artificail insemination discovered that long ago? I don't think so!

Anyway, to cuty a long story short. My and a friend decided that religion should be made illegal, as religion itself is no more than a cult.

These days religion seems to be the root of all evil....

eg. suicude bommers would not exitst if it were not for the promise of 72 virgins...

To be honest, i'm too wasted to continue this rant just now. I'm gonna go and TRY to get some sleep and i'll continue this in the morning/afternoon.

If anyone has anything they would like to add, then please do...

Good night all!

Thats my thinking, the fact that there are 100's of different gods believed in is another point.
Some older people take comfort in religion though, so no matter how anti-religion we are, it isn't nice to say different.
Those people who try pushing religion on to everyone else, then is the time to let rip, you can see how branwshed and ilogical they are though by speaking to them.

I personally had a very closed mind to religion in general, I was very scientific in my thinking...

But you have to realise that most of science is also theory, just as you may think of religion as being theory.

These days I have an open mind to anything, and question everything. Science is constantly proving itself previously wrong with old theories, as new theories are developed... bottom line is, scientifically we don't know anything for 100%.

Even Steven Hawking says that God created the Universe, and then explains everything after that with science.

It's not physically impossible to change water to wine or split the seas... It's just you're unable to.

Elements can change, and water can move... It's just doing it the problem.

I'm afraid I strongly disagree with your statement...and heres why:

Firstly no-one can dispute Jesus' existance, there is more evidence for his life than any other man to live. There are more than 20,000 manuscripts written about him, only a few of which made it into the bible. So we have a good idea of how he lived and what he taught. So the question is, was he mad? lieing? or telling the truth...He spoke with too much knowledge and wisdom to be mad, if he was lieing he would not have been able to predict the things that he predicted to happen...so we are left with the latter.

Secondly you say science has disproved religion. Again I strongly disagree. There is no evidence for evolution, so how did we get here? I challenge anyone to come up with a more logical solution with more proof than that of God creating it.

There was a study where they worked out what the population would be if it had started with 2 people (Adam and eve), taking into account all of the people who have died in world wars, or to disease in the past 6,000 years and they calculated it to be roughly what the population of the world is today. (i will try and find this study)

But thirdly...and most significantly...seeing is believe right? And i've seen miracles...amazing healings, prophecies, words of knowledge and personally felt the power of God so you can argue all you like about he theory of it, but in reality God is real, Jesus is real. And when you grasp hold of it its emmence!

Sorry but

You say evolution can't be prooved? I'd say theres more proof to support that rather than a story in a book about two people who just happened to shag about untill we got to 6 billion people

Plus shouldn't they have been married? Which one of them was black? Why hasn't there been any sign of Jesus in the past 2000+ years? If God created EVERYTHING, then why does the bible say it happened in 7 days? Plus who asked God & got that answer?

Too many unanswered questions. Too many questions that need asking. Listen to any preacher, they're in denial. Those things that they can't credit to God are rubbished like they don't happen. Complete BOLLOCKS.

I'm not one of those people who says 'well there are just some things we can't answer' and 'you just have to believe' I believe that God provides an answer to any question because he wants to prove to people that he IS there.

Therefore I shall answer your questions:

They did not need to be married for there was no sin. Marriage is a result of people having to make a commitment to prevent them going and having sexual relations with other people (lust, a result of sin) so after adam and eve, people were required to get married.

Black, white, brown, yellow people are a result of natural selection, micro-evolution (but i think you already know this) and adam and eve were middle eastern, so they were brown/dark.

Signs of Jesus? where have you been looking? or haven't you? Jesus has appeared to thousands of people, and changes peoples lives all over the globe (obviously dependent on whether you believe the people or not) Also if you read revalations (last book of the bible) it prophocies about many things that will happen in the last days, loads of which you can see happening around you. (i.e. 'seaons will become one', this was written almost 2000 years ago)

The bible says it happened in 6 days (he rested on the seventh) and what proof is there to suggest it didn't? So called 'accurate' carbon dating has many variables that have to be taken into consideration and are guessed or estimated so it is actually not at all accurate.

We know the bible is the accurate word of God because it proves itself. The old testament holds over 300 prophecies in it, all of which came true. Proving its authenticity.

I can't debate on here all day, gotta shoot out in a sec. lol...hope it atleast provides an answer for your questions, whether you chose to believe them or not.

Evolution has been proved. Why can you Christians not see that there are hard facts.
All 'evidence' for Jesus' existence is in the Bible, or written by people who follow the Bible and believe he exists.

That said, I'm not against religion as long as it's not forced on me. I can see it's place in society, and it gives people something to believe in, and most religions make the believers good people. Giving people the hope that there is something after death isn't a bad thing.

I mean real proof. Like actual physical evidence.

Some odd theory that all seasons become one isn't proof, mainly because that hasn't actually happened. We're led to believe that we've created a world that has increased global warming, which has led to abnormal weather condidtions. If what your saying is true, then that means that years ago someone predicted that we'd be doing everything we currently do. Even the trivial things, cars, ipods, internet, industry, two bed appartments, microwave dinners - the lot.

Think about where you are. Really think. We're on a planet, on one of many solar systems. That is probably the biggest mystery in the world, is there life on other planets? How many times is this mentioned in the bible? How many times are oter planets mentioned? Other than a star that appeared & then disappeared in December for a while (I don't think it needs explaining that this is completely stupid & would never happen)
