Lol I love watching Bear Grylls, I think the one I saw today was when he was in Ecuador, he made a thing to cross the river, then chucked it down to cross the river and it broke poor bear

yeh that bush was funny, he's llike " this is a horrible thing to get stuck in" then he jumps in it just to show you what its like the one where he squeezes camel shit or cow shit just to get the water in the middle is a tad gut wrenching.

Yeah not nice, the fresh elephant crap just to get some water isn't quite what id like to do either.........thing is i'd love to have a go at what Bear does, go to random countrys and be in stupidly difficult situations, just id prefer the not dieing part which kind of contradicts the whole thing but oh well.

Didint seem mad at all, just a normal guy with a love for the outdoors

Apparently tho while shooting his TV show he was staying in top notch hotels, not roughing it as he made out.....sure that was in the papers at the time!

Yeah something like that, when it was on channel 4 the viewers complained about how 'fake' some of it was, but now on discovery channel he has voiced over bits to set it straight so to speak, on one of them he like digs a snow whole to make it look like he is staying but now on discovery the voice over nips in and he says 'im not staying but if i was i would do this blah blah blah'

Another funny one was he did some fishing hook thing to try and catch some fish, the voice over comes in again and says something like 'I didn't catch anything, then a second later he has a fish in his hand, so i think Bear and his team tried to be a bit sneaky over some things which they have covered up now.

If you listen though on his shows he does say "i wont be stayin here tonight but if i was..this is how i would make a shelter" or something along them lines, so what he meant was "i wont be staying here tonight, im off to a local 5 star for some lobster and a back rub"

Yep and I think thats what the problem was with channel 4, he did the shelter and then they cut the shot and then next clip would be him waking up, so to cover themselves now he did the add on as you say 'im not staying here but if i was.....'

Quite sneaky really, the same with random dead animals as well, like the dead sheep in Scotland, they did a clip of him clearly pretending he found it, but now on the discoverey channel he says a farmer brought it to them or something.

Yeh the one i watched he said he's been lefet a dead sheep by a local farmer so he can show us how to gut it etc.He does that with all the animals i think, says he's been left them by locals.

I had never even heard of the fruitcake until my mate's wife introduced me to one of his programmes when I was round there on the piss.
I think she's got a bit of a soft spot for him, or a wet one maybe

(she likes Rugby too the dirty cow )

When she mentioned his name to me I was just ''Sorry, Barry/Berry who? Is it a programme about barbequing Grizzlys?''

Most bizzare name i've ever heard.

The boy DOES have some issues too. I mean. Eating that fucking spider.

It took all my will power and courage plus about 40 mins to capture a category 3 arachnid in my bedroom the other night. And that was just so I could send the fucker on a surfing expedition and get some sodding sleep.

I think i'd rather die than eat one. After all, lets face it, a spider is hardly going to save your life anyway is it. It's not exactly a half pounder with extra salad.

All it's gonna do is make your last few hours extra disgusting and miserable.

Or speed the process up after all the vomiting you'd be doing from eating a GODDAMNED SPIDER
