I really want to XE my Corsa (that I haven't even bought yet) at some point. Is anyone available near Kent to do it in a weekend for some money?

Just want to know what I'd be charged, and how much I could get a sound XE for.

Forward planning, and all that.

Cheers guys - and I am very serious about it.

At least I'd know it's a sound job! I think I'll get bored with the 1.4 quite quickly. It's just insurance that puts me off (0 NCB, 3 points (maybe 6), and 4 claims) @ 20. Ouch.

So how much for the entire conversion, including the engine, parts and labour (roughly)?

Fook, really? You can buy an XE'd Corsa already done for that!

But I suppose it's a drive-in, drive-out jobbie... What's the general advice on here, just buy an already done Corsa, and put your parts on it, or what? I'm a newb to this forum!

Yep - I'll need it. I should be getting a bit of money coming in soon (bike accident), so I might have to treat myself, despite the cost.

Nah mate, it'll be a few months anyway (probably wait 10 for the 1 NCB). Is it usually stupid amounts then? Over £2k, you reckon?

Maybe I'm being unrealistic. You're starting to scare me a bit - heh. I'll do some quotes but I normally knock tons off my insurance phoning around, but I can't be fooked doing that just for an idea! I'll have a go later.

Just go on comparethemarket or gocompare or something, you can declare everything on most of them..engine conversions too..so they will find the best prices for you.
