thats an R25

R26's came with a diff and a little more power!

Know a few people that have these and they are much quicker than its main rivals in terms of 0-100 and standing quarters. Oh and they handle well out on track too from what the general press and from what I have read on the Renaultsport site

230 bhp
diff
brembos

FUN!

Some them hooning it around on Trax - looked mint

If I had the money to spend, I'd definitely have to test drive these against Vaux VXR variants.

ive driven 2, and really disliked them all

felt far worse than a astra vxr in terms of quality, and road noise etc, and didnt feel any quicker (although they shouldnt should they ? )

its a car trying to live with the ST and VXR etc, but doesnt cut it IMO if I was the one buying one of the 3

Thanks for the input. Best bet will be to pop round to the local renault dealership sometime in the nearish future and have a look.

I'd never really given them a second look till we had a lad in at wotk recently with a new one.

You've driven an R25 IIRC not the revised R26 as Brands don't have any of them do they?

I'd read some reviews and drive all three cars as I personally dont think we are the people to advise you as we only have the facts given to us by the press. ALthough I've driven a Trophy 225 and loved it, great brakes, nice weighted steering and nice torque spread.

dont buy one thats been imported through CAT uk, i used to work there, they are meant to be gently driven and given time to wear in, they used to get ragged from cold, they used to be started and and ragged to the redline across the compound over to the factory for cleaning and valeting

they are very nice cars, havent had one come back into work with any electrical faults or engine faults, but there is an ots on them something to do with the oil return or feed pipe, if you buy one try and get it done before you get it, as its supose to be an engine out job and will take more than a day to do

They are great cars-- I would certainly buy one over the vxr... Down to personal preference though -- geta test drive booked.

I can only really go on my own car but the new renault build quality seems to be in a different league to anything that has come before(touch wood)
