my kids came home from school with a project.......they have to build a model of any famous building.......it has to be done by 15th of march.......with help from parents.......i'm an engineer by trade and love to show off to other parents/kids so what building should we make?

I was thinking of tower bridge in london but my wife says 'its a bridge, not a building'

any ideas?
just thought i'd better add, the kids are aged 6 and 8 so something fairly simple.

That with working turbines would be much cooler than the twin towers.

the modern buildings in Dubai although amazing are not iconic enough in my eyes

Need something like the tower of London, etc.

You want a building 'that changed the world'

The Hoover dam with real water.
Euston Station (engineering master piece)
Pretty much any Victorian British imperialism building
The Effie tower
Leaning tower of Pisa
A subsection if Venice with real cannels now that would be cool, say the bridge of sighs and the buildings next to it.
Clifton Suspension bridge
Empire state building.

Got to agree there pretty much any building near the red square would be ideal.

The Capital Building is better than the white house.

I have several 100 pictures if you need any lol.

Nelsons Column would be kind of cool, or times square with LED's wired up to a battery.
