Anyone even notice I was gone? 
Was off in Cyprus for just over a week (a week was planned at first  ) and was a trip from hell!
On the flight out I was sat on the plane waiting to take off when the pilot came on the radio saying an American Airlines plane was coming in to land in an emergency (loss of hydraulics) so we'd have to wait - only for me to watch the plane fuck up its landing and spill shit all over the runway and burst a few tyres. 2 1/2 hours of me sitting on the plane later (pilot wouldnt let us off) and we take off. Thank god I flew on the Sat though, as the exact same flight on the Sunday had a co-pilot die and they ended up in Istanbul for a night 
Holiday was all good, weather was great which was a surprise.
Then going back we got to the airport to be told the plane hadnt arrived yet due to bad weather and had to land in Salzberg. Then turned out they decided to cancel the flight and we'd be put up in a hotel until 'sometime' the next day And to make matters worse they decided to put us in a hotel an hours drive from the airport when we'd come from a great one 15mins away
On a good note they put on a new flight at 5 the next day - meant I missed the Liverpool game ( again!) - but I managed to get myself into first class

i got an extra day in florida because of hurricane charlie afew years ago, sounds great getting a free days holiday but its a load of wank

Was a nightmare, it always seems to be when I go to Cyprus! Last year I went there either side of going to Athens for the CL final, and my flight back to Manchester was cancelled - ended up flying to Paris, having a mad dash across the airport and getting some tincan back to Manchester all to get back to some stupid graduation thing Made it back to mine, suited and booted and to the do with 5mins to spare

tell me about it. I wouldnt mind if they had told us we'd be leaving for the aiport at 2pm as could of planned the day, but instead it was a case of having to keep checking every 30mins and then a made dash to get read/food/checkout intime

You should maybe avoid cyprus and go somewhere else or it could just be a coincidence actually

Happy I got home alive - wishing I was back there
Weather was fantastic all the time we were there. Had been pissing it down the weeks upto I was there from what I was told too

I know how you feel-ish though, on way back from lanzarote in jan we landed at 4am-ish after a delay and because it was 'skeleton' staff it took ages to get someone to connect the tunnel to the plane then we had to wait over 90 mins for baggage
