A mates Evo III went through a full set of R888's in 3 weeks
He's on cheap Khumo's now! At just under £800 every 3 weeks I'm not surprised!!

My Contis have lasted me 23000 miles and the fronts are looking quite worn. I'd leave them on for a few more thou, but i'm going for a long drive next week and I don't want to get caught out...

R888's are quite soft, and he may of gone for the super soft compound.

Thing is on my corsa I used to go through them quickly, the inside of the wheels used to get it due to negative camber of lowering.

MY gti, it goes through front tyres quicker than rear - after a track day it's stripped a lot more than normal use.

I've had the rear tyres I have - For literally YEARS!

They were on the 15" wheels that were on my corsa, and that was a good 3+ years ago! they just don't wear out...

22k+ was what the Conti's on the 306 used to do. I'm going to get them for the Laguna when the time comes for that reason.
The Laguna's munched through one side of a Dunlop Sport SP01 in 8,000 miles. I think there's something wrong there, there's about 4mm tread on the inside and it's nearly on the wear indicator on the right.

edit: the rear set only got replaced when I had a puncture in 1, as I wanted to keep even tread on the rear. The good one made it onto the spare, still had a good 2mm above the wear indicator after 25k+.

They do have a good wear rating, and they are nice and quiet. Friend with the same car as me has Bridgestones on his and his wore out a lot quicker than mine, but I think that's more due to him driving like a plank

I finished a new pair of Contis (about 300 quids worth) in under 3k miles and I destroyed a brand new one after 46 miles when something horrible left a 3 inch gash through the middle of the tread on my 6 day old car.

How many miles in the 3 weeks? Still crazy though 4 tyres in 3 weeks for road use is he running 600bhp and lighting up all 4 wheels
