Do you think if you read foreign forums they are full of bastardisation and laziness or is this pandemic peculiar to the UK? Must I read a post a number of times before understanding the question?
Is it too hard to try and get it right? Come on. Everyone has been using the English language for a number of years but a great many people are really rather bad at it.

I read a couple of spanish forums from time to time, there are the odd few bad posters, but i have to say the general standard is much higher. I'm studying hispanic philology out here, so spelling and grammar are quite big points for me, too

What do you mean? Bad Language or typing like i did in the last reply?
I think you should just ban everybody, Do an intensive test and slowly allow the members back once they have completed the online test. it would include spelling, grammar, punctuation etc. And you need 98% to pass.
If you pass, You get back on to the board and you get a Corsasport keyring.
If you fail, We find your IP address, find your home, Follow you to your place of work and humiliate you infornt of your work mates by reading out all the answers you failed on. Then shit on your bonnet.
I dont need to take the test though cos it was my idea.
Your going to ban me now, Arent you?

Slightly off topic....
When you turn 30, I turn 20 on the same day...Pretty cool huh?
How hard is it not to press that 'Ban' button just now?

Alright alright, calm down calm down

My main annoyance at the mo is threads titled "what is?" or "will?". No mention of what it's actually about.
If you want a specific answer then ask a specic question

its an annoyance of mine too
so many times in HZ a thread wont (won't) actually include a question, i have in the past inquired (enquired) what is being asked despite a post 3 lines long!

Amen to that, this is the internet. Not an english exam.
I personally use slang etc on the net purely because at work all day i'm using correct spelling and grammar, so when I come on the net I like to chill out on the spelling/grammar/punctuation, it helps me as then there's less chance of me doing it on my work.
