Does anyone have mates who are really tight when it comes to money?
for example when your out they dodge rounds? i never dodge rounds and i like to think i'm generous with buying an extra round e.g. shots aswell as the designated round. not everytime but on occasions.
Anyway one of my mates(who i would say is a round dodger!!) phoned me wanting money for a ticket that he had for friday night that was going spare, its £35. i only agreed to take it from him on monday, and he knows that i'm not going to disappear of the face of the earth before friday night yet hes pestering me for the money! so i said i would pay him on friday night when we all meet up. but hes not happy and reckons i should make a 30 mile trip to give him the money in advance!! Its just something that really gets to me because he knows hes going to get the money so why be such a little badger!!
Does anyone else suffer this problem? or get equally as annoyed about things of this nature?

Not "my mates" but was out with a friend the other week watching the match. Her mate from work (Amy) had tagged along too which is fine but she must have brought only about £10 when we were out from 1pm and had a late night planned which she knew about.
Anyway its not long before she doesnt have any money. Now im not the type to let her sit there without a drink so everytime i bought Toni's drink i got her one and Toni did the same when she got mine, this went on until about 10pm when she refused another drink (thank fook!) but sat there without a drink looking miserable. This made Toni feel bad and we decided to call it a night.
Now on the way home we went to the Chinese (as you do) and were sitting there waiting for food when the cheeky cow turns round and asks Toni for the £10 she loaned her a week ago. I couldnt believe what i was hearing! I bet we had spent £20/30 on her easy which we knew fine well we arent going to see again.

nah, he knows i will pay him though. i just don't understand why its such a big deal, if i hadn't taken the ticket it would be going spare and he would get nothing for it

He is out of order expecting you to drive 30 miles to give him £30
I have been stung with tickets before though, bought 4 weller tickets last year and paid for a hotel then everyone pulled out without giving me money, lost over £200
I am shite at getting money back from mates but most of the time we just help eachother out, if i'm short they will buy me drinks or whatever and vice versa.
I owe robbo some drinks

We were all having a drunken game of poker at a mates house.
The next day we all got phone calls off Dave telling us that he has booked us all to go to Cancun and we all owe his £150 deposit.
When we asked him WTF made him think we were all coming he said "Well i asked at the poker match and i didnt hear any objections"
He was left out of pocket. I think he had to cover 4 deposits.

one of my closest pals is right tight james blunt - over the years we have kept on and on at him with funny co0mments and mocking him infront of others and slowly but surely hes got better - plus we have wised up enough notget him drinks etc etc

my mates call me tight, thing is i've been a student for last 8 years while they are all self employed joiners etc. I don't dodge rounds though, but tend not to go in them as someone always fucks off. I just go in 2 or 3's anything over 4 is when you get screwed over.
