Yeah to the MX5. But i'd go for the 1.8, bit more poke.
Stick to the road really well though. So i've heard. Not really driven one on the roads.... But thats a story for another day.
Much difference in price for the 1.8?

Everytime i see a guy in an mx5 i cringe.
Yes, they are probably really good fun, and alright performance for money, but just no to a male driving one!
(just realised you drive a tigra, so what i said won't really matter to you, sorry for wasting your time)

Probably good fun.. Alright for the money... They are quite simply the best handling sports car on Earth. if you cannot see past the image mate, you are not a petrolhead.

I disagree with that. I think part of being a petrolhead is driving something that looks the part as well as performing (unless its a sleeper). Maybe i'm just to self-concious though.
The red one with gold wheels that was posted up on here a while ago was pretty tasty, but a normal looking mx5 just doesn't do anything for me.

You answered your own statement. If you need looks AND performance, you are not a petrolhead

Not really, nippy and fun and will bash round a track pretty well, but not exactly 'sports car' performance.
Put it against an S2000 and it'd be put to shame, a Z4M and it'd be ruined.
Fun, but not exactly the best sports car
