A friend of mine have been chatting.

My nova is back off to Dave A to get allthe problems with the rebuilt engine sorted and redone, when my mate found out and got in touch.

He said that after everythings been done, would i want to swap my nova for his Seat, plus a grand.

Spec is a revo stage one remap (whatever that is) to 210bhp, multichanger cd, leather seats and powerflow system. He'd give me the car with standard suspension and standard alloys as he's keeping the coilovers and alloys for another project along with anything else fitted to the seat.

just wondering if anyones ever had one, and whether i should stop being silly and keep the nova and get it how ive always wanted it - finished!

well its just the nova is so much fun, even fighting it to get round corners as its so raw.

I dont think i could get used to a refined car Spesh after the amountof money ive paid dave for the engine lol and havnt been able to drive it because its so fooked.

think mileage on the seat is 70-75k, has had new water pump and timing belt that he said should always be changed.

but i dont know, i love nova's

sound's too good to me tbh.i'd be asking myself why does he wan't to swap?not that your nova is not good or anything but swapping a 5k car for 2.5 k car sounds a bit dodgy.maybe he just loves nova's though?but i'd defo go for the ibiza.

no he's sound known him about 3/4 years now.

He's going to put some supercharger on it or something i think he said. He has a run around diesel 306, the ibiza's a weekend car - so will the nova. He just said he's wanted one for years since having a done up gte when he was 19.

Im driving it next week sometime. cant wait

Supercharger....... That eBay thing?

I'd drive the Nova for a few weeks when you get it back then make up your mind. Seams silly to me if you've put so much time and effort into it then to just give it away running perfect.

Could be an earner for you even if you don't like ibizas

You'd be pissed if your nova is quicker than it though

id just spend loads on a big turbo and stage 3 remaps etcbut yeh the nova should be pretty fooking nippy when cams are dialled in etc etc.

i guess its the prospect of having a far comfier/more reliable car, against a pretty mentally fun raw car that i love.

What a stock Ibiza? No not in the slightest, few of my mates have had them and sold them within months.

Ask Rob R off here he had a Revo'd 213 bhp one and he sold it and got a stock GSi which was quicker in stock form.

The guy I bought my car off bought an Ibiza Cupra R (the rare one) and sold it within weeks.

This is not about Clio Whittie its about Cupras, keep to the topic or you will be banned :looked:
