Been here for a few weeks now.

Bloke ordered it about 4 odd years ago.

Stunning machine. I'll have one when that 95 mill comes in on Friday.

Closest thing to a MotoGP bike on the road.

The original and the best Superbike. Back in the days of the OWO1 Exup Yam, Kwak 750's, Honda NC30s etc.. When the World SuperBike series was starting off, muchos exiting time.

Ducati 851

And nutcase upgraded 888 model. I would sell a testical to own either one.

916 was the next Superbike along. Many versions of the bike showed up, inc the Senna edition, the engine was increased to from 916 to 996, then to 998.

Which was then replaced by the 999.

Which has now been replaced by the 1098.

You can really see the progression and how the styling has been used from each model to the next. The 1098 being a modern 916/999 combined

A few more. Ducati Supermono (single cylinder). I LOVED this bike.

The Desmodici, MotoGP spec suspension and detuned engine.

Not a Ducati, but another £46,000 bike, MV Augusta Verso

I could post so many excotic sports bikes. Theres so many, its why i get confused why peopel just go the usual, R6, R1, GSXR600-1000, Honda CBR route....

Never heard of a Ducati R7 ever?

There is a Yamaha R7 though, which is no longer built as they just went to the 600 and 1000cc models (hence R6 and R1). R7 was ditched as WSB rules put the IL4's to 1000cc.

people go on about R1's GSXR's etc because they are awsome & reliable bikes... having had ALOT of bikes. Ive never had any trouble with any of the japs - Ive had a few Italian bikes too and every single one has suffered from one thing or another.

Also the exotics cost a lot to fix and maintain £600+ on some Ducati services. Fook that .

Always had a soft spot for the Senna too

But i never put down the jap 4s as being unreliable. I jsut said theres so much better out there but people go for whats cheap and fast.

Formally i'd agree about italian bikes, not anymore though. They have raised the game. And it was mostly electrical.

Its just like owning a mondeo or vecta, every buggers got one. Sure its fast, but theres no passion in japanese bikes.

Servicing isn't that bad.

Allan, what Senna? Lots of bikes have Senna versions.

Dads trying to sell his. Stupidly fast (one was recorded at 193mph, in standard trim), but thinks its really top heavy. He's going back to a Benelli, but unsure which one to go for now. He's had the 900, so its either the 900 RS (all carbon fibre, radial brakes, ohlins suspension), or go for the 1130 Tornado. Im just busting for a standard 900. They were doing 0% finance at the show too

MV4R Augusta. Enough carbon fibre added though to be spec'd to the £24k top range model. New seat too.

His old Benelli too.

TBH single sided swingarms are the only swingarms that should exist. It completely changes the look of a bike and is so much better looking.

It really is stunning. Only like 1000 miles, but he's getting older, its too much wind pressure on his shoulders, plus he's still not recovered yet either.

He had it stripped in bits the day he rode it home (to fit all his carbon fibre parts). Day 1 of the bike being home....

That large but in the middle, if you come off and any of that area gets ground down, the bikes a write off!!!!! You can buy a hardened plastic grommit that fits in the gap so if it does go for a slide, it wont scratch the frame and write it off. One its in and the fairings back on, you can't even see it too.

Dunno why they dont put them in as standard though???

Mental, bikes are far too easy to write off. They wouldn't put it in so you spend money buying the piece and they make more money I guess

I assume his recovery is coming along ok?
