Going to test drive a 54 plate Ibiza Cupra 1.8T tomorow, has anyone got one on here or driven one before? Sure someone had a yellow one?
Read some good reviews in mags, but never read any comments from everyday people. I was looking at getting the diesel version, but cant warrent the extra money that they're going for over the petrol.
Opinions?

Derv Cupra's are 160bhp.
Depending in your situation I'd consider an FR and going for a remap, as the gap in insurance groups is pretty large (7 to 15 i think) but if insurance isn't an issue, of course go Cupra.
I've had bad experience with my interior, mainly just alot of rattling and falling to bits - but to drive it's alot of fun, is pretty quick remapped and can manage 55mpg if I'm driving properly

Get the Derv one Jay, the extra money it costs will save you money in Road tax each year and fuel.
Also you will find that that when it comes to re sale the DERV wont depreciate half as much either.
Take Mk 4 Golf GTi's for example you can pick a clean 1.8t for around 2-3k where as if you want a dielse whether it be a PD115 you will hard pushed to buy one for anywhere under 4.5k.

Thanks for the info guys
Just got back from looking at it, and i've put a deposit down on it. I prefered driving the petrol to the diesel tbh, was a lot quiter and felt a bit smoother.
Its got one previous owner who was a vicar and has only done 11,000 miles on a 54 plate. So i'm happy all round

Cupra 180 Petrol, had it around 3-4 months cant remeber exactly.
Going from a corsa to this is like in every sense possible. Started off missing the corsa would you believe but it is growing on me.
Drinks petrol like a fish, especially if you are over enthusiastic on the accelarator.
Touch wood no problems at the minute
What spec have you bought?
