i always wanted one of these when i was much younger.

working on one today made me think it would be a ace lil track car

but on the flipside they seem to rust as fast as the mk3 fiesta. in the same places too

Aren't they mechanically and Floorpan-wise the same car anyway?

Why they never put a "decent" engine in and stuck with the awful sounding 1.3 i'll never know. A mates dad worked on the one with the puma front lights and a cossie engine back in the day.

If my car get written off i'd get one these. 4.5k brand new is a fuckin bargain. Possibly get them down a bit more too.

I don't look after my cars now. They are just driven back and fouth to work, 90 miles a day.

Mate has one, done 20k and not a single problem. I'm quite impressed.

they put the 1.6 8v engine in, not that it was any better

I always liked them, just got a girly image. But whack some nice wheels on them, transplant an rs turbo engine in one, and strip it out, and i think it would be a fun little car.

My mate has one, they horrible to look at but the are piss easy to drive but he never have it service, raggs it everywhere and it never goes wrong!

Would never fucking touch one I hate them with a passion,

mostly driven by totty though

Mates girlfriends in in fords now havin a new 3/4 panel due to rust round the petrol cap
